So... that's a very nice couple of logos, but what do they mean, exactly?

We are neither non-profit,
nor independently wealthy,
nor foolish ...
and so the idea of building an online
Art Guild, was born.

We also operate the online retail site, to support our Artists community.

Following all this...here's what we mean by "Art Guild"

For too long a stereotype has existed,
that of the starving artist.
Many talented people go unnoticed
by the so-called
"mainstream" art world,
simply because they have no access to it.

Artists find themselves literally scraping for
the very means of day-to-day survival
and have no time (or materials)
to be able to express themselves completely.

Indeed, some artists tap into
programs such as unemployment or welfare
simply because they have no definable business skills.

The main goals of thesota.com are:

• to share wonderful art with the world
• assist otherwise neglected artists to become self-sufficient
• and permit the owners the chance to run their own business
  
• & to permit us to make a profit
  

In doing so, we feel it's possible
to help everyone with a win-win-win situation.

As Kat states:
"In order to help our Artisians realise that self-sufficiency,
we need some method of 'fund-raising' "

Many of our fine products are hand-made, hand-grown, or
hand-selected by our own "Artisians" [sic]

Our site does not just consist of diversions to make your life a little easier.
We have our own unique artists that create one-of-a-kind original pieces.
